Territory artists shine on international stage
Some of the Territory’s best Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists have showcased their talent at the world’s largest celebration Indigenous Pacific arts and culture.
The 2024 Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPAC), held in Hawaii celebrates the unique traditions, artistry and diverse cultures of the Pacific region.
FestPAC is a vibrant and culturally enriching event that provides a unique opportunity for collaboration mutual learning and sharing among nations.
The Australian delegation included close to 20 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artist from the Northern Territory from the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair and Injalak Arts Centre.
The Northern Territory participants represented the Australian delegation in storytelling, music, dance, fashion, arts and crafts.
Both the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair and Injalak Arts Centre provided support to regional and remote Territory artists to attend FestPAC Hawai’i 2024.
