Ben

Hi my name is Ben and I am passionate about connecting cultures, student engagement and helping people transforms their lives. Originally from Colombia, I firmly believe that education is the most potent weapon for changing the world. This is the reason why I have spent the past few years working to provide support to those who believe in a multicultural educated society, and have now joined the Council for International Students Australia - to take my ideas to a national level.

I am currently pursuing my last year of a Bachelor of Accounting at Charles Darwin University, and was recently elected as the 2019 president of the Student’s Association and the Student Representative on the CDU Council. After undertaking the StudyNT Student Ambassador Program last year, I am thrilled to be have been selected to participate again in 2019.

I believe that attitude is more important than intelligence. Being a big dreamer and goal achiever, I often say that ‘if you are determined enough to achieve something, no one can stop you’.
