About Victor
My name is Victor, and I came to the Northern Territory (NT) from India in 2021 to pursue a Master of Information Technology at Charles Darwin University. The journey to get here wasn’t easy due to the pandemic, but I’m so grateful for the experiences and opportunities I’ve had since arriving, and during the pandemic when I started my semester in 2021.
I’m currently pursuing the ACS Professional Year Program in Computer Science/IT at Navitas Professional Training Darwin, to gain exposure to Australian work culture and get experience that falls in line with the corporate industry in Australia.
One of the things that I’ve enjoyed about living in the Northern Territory is the strong sense of community here. Despite being a long way from home, I’ve found that people here are warm and welcoming, and there’s always something going on. Whether it’s a cultural festival or a community event, there’s always an opportunity to learn and connect with others. Another thing that I love here is the incredible natural beauty that surrounds us. From the stunning sunsets to the diverse wildlife, there’s always something new to discover. Studying in the NT has been a life-changing experience for me. I’ve had the chance to broaden my horizons, make new friends, and develop my skills in a way that I might not have been able to do otherwise. Through my volunteer work, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life, and learn about the unique challenges and opportunities in the NT.
Studying and volunteering in the Northern Territory has given me a new perspective on the world and has opened up a wealth of opportunities for personal and professional growth. I’m so grateful for the opportunities that have been afforded to me here, and I know that the lessons I’ve learned, and the memories here will stay with me for a lifetime.
