About Cynthia
My name is Cynthia, and I am a driven and adventurous individual from Shaoxing, a city rich in history and culture. In 2016, I embarked on a journey to the United States as an exchange student, eager to experience different cultures and broaden my horizons. This trip inspired me to take a gap year in Australia after completing my bachelor's degree in my hometown. I spent three months in Melbourne before moving to Alice Springs, a stunning location in the Northern Territory that would become my home for nearly four years.
During my time in Alice Springs, I found many opportunities to grow and develop as a person. I discovered new career paths, made lifelong friends, and had unforgettable experiences such as visiting Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. I also worked as a team leader in a disability support worker role, which allowed me to give back to the community and make a meaningful impact on people's lives.
My experiences in Alice Springs ultimately led me to Charles Darwin University (CDU), where I am continuing my education and pursuing my passions. I am still drawn to the Northern Territory and all that it has to offer, particularly Darwin. With its multicultural population and unique Aboriginal culture, Darwin is a beautiful and fascinating place to live and study. I love living in Darwin because of its relaxed lifestyle, stunning natural beauty, and exciting nightlife.
