Hi everyone, my name is Anish and I am from Kathmandu, Nepal. I am in my final year studying Master of Information Technology (Cybersecurity) at Charles Darwin University.

I completed my previous degree in Sydney when I decided to move to a quiet yet vibrant city. I researched all available options and found Darwin was the best place to live for me.

The reason behind doing a cyber-security course was that, while I was doing my internship for an accounting tax firm one of the computers was compromised and we could not use the system for a few weeks. All tax lodgements were delayed because the system was compromised.

The world is shifting towards a digital world which is also what spiked my interest in switching my career to IT sooner than later. I decided to study cybersecurity and chose Charles Darwin University (CDU). CDU is ranked 2nd in terms of graduate employment rate by Good Universities Guide. This was something that was very important to me in selecting my education provider.

Another important factor for me was adventure and I can tell you that the NT is full of it! Within a couple of hours of driving, I can access one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Territory, Florence Falls. Florence Falls is a beautiful place to swim. I love playing in water, and it is the reason I fell in love with the Territory. The Territory is home to the world famous Uluru, Kakadu National Park, Nitmiluk Gorge and Karlu-Karlu (Devil’s Marbles).
