About Renee
My name is Renee and I am from Hong Kong.
I graduated from Bachelor in Business Administration in Hong Kong before flying to Australia for a working-holiday in 2013 for two years. These two incredible years made me fall in love with the people, culture, weather and life style in Australia. After that I went back to Hong Kong and became an Art Administrator for 6 years, but I missed my time in Australia.
During the pandemic, I had a lot of time to think about my career, and I thought it was the perfect time to start studying and to learn new skills. Australia has always been the best option for me. I chose the course of Early Childhood Education and Care because children are the purest gift and I wanted to know more about their needs and growth path. I also enjoy organising suitable art activities for children.
I had never been to Darwin before, but decided to come here for three reasons:
- I like the unique culture of the Northern Territory. Darwin is a multicultural city so it encourages me to meet people with difference stories.
- The tropical weather - which is just like Hong Kong where I grew up.
- I enjoy exploring new places and nature. The Territory is definitely the perfect place to study!
I am honoured to get the scholarship from Study NT, it motivates me to focus on my study and put all my energy into doing well in my classes. I would also like to thank Alana Kaye College for all the support. I am looking forward to my new journey in Darwin.
