Hi! I am John, a Mechanical Engineer from the Philippines and I have previously worked as a Control Room Engineer in a 1450 MW Coal Fired Powerplant.

After gaining significant experience in the Power Generation industry, I decided to expand my knowledge by pursuing a Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) at Charles Darwin University. This decision motivated me to continue learning and growing in my field.

As a mechanical engineer, I am enthusiastic about learning the practical applications through further study and developing a deeper understanding of its fundamental principles. I am excited to meet my fellow students and professors at Charles Darwin University and learn from their diverse views and experiences.

I have a deep connection to the Northern Territory, specifically Darwin, as it holds a special place in my family's heart. We have visited the Top End many times, as two of my siblings live here. I have come to appreciate the diverse but unique culture and natural beauty of the Northern Territory, and studying here will be a truly enriching experience.

I believe that all of us have the ability to make a difference in the world, no matter how small it may be. I want to make a meaningful impact and help create a brighter tomorrow.
