About Orsi
Hi my name is Orsi (short for Orsolya) from Hungary. I have recently started studying Diploma of Community Services at Alana Kaye College.
Prior to coming to the Northern Territory (NT), I have worked and studied in Sydney where completed Certificate III in Individual Support in Ageing and Certificate IV in Disability courses. In my working career in Sydney, I have gained extensive experience and knowledge in the aged care and disability sector and been lucky enough to work in the industry as a home and senior attendant care worker for the elderly and people living with disability.
From a professional reason, I came to Darwin with clear goals in my mind to upskill and extend my knowledge and pursue a career in the industry I really love, and also learn about Indigenous people and their communities and gain practical experience while working and supporting them.
I strongly believe, this Diploma of Community Services course, in combination with the other courses I have done, will not only give me a chance for extend my knowledge but will also give me a chance for a huge career progression as the opportunities are endless here in Darwin.
From a personal point of view, I believe, Darwin is like no other place, I had a chance to visit Darwin and travel to Kakadu back in 2016 and instantly fell in love with the Territory and the lifestyle.
Last but not least, I would like to express my gratitude to both NT Government for selecting me as one of the recipients of the scholarship and also to Alana Kaye College for nominating me for the scholarship.
