Hello, my name is Christine and I’m studying my last year of high school at The Essington School Darwin. Coming to Darwin was an unexpected suggestion from my parents but I have always loved trying new things, and this has been a great opportunity to overcome my fears to be more independent. I believe in doing what I think is good for my own development.

When I arrived in Darwin, I immediately knew this was going to be exciting. Coming from a very crowded city, Darwin is a great urban escape for me with the gardens and beaches within walking distance. I was never really an outdoors walker or a walker at all, but since arriving in Darwin I even started walking home from school!

I love how Darwin is such a small community where everyone gets along, and everyone knows each other. It is always easy to get to know new people and hang out as everyone is crazy supportive and friendly.
