Melanie is a chef at Wharf One Food and Wine, located at Darwin waterfront in Australia’s Northern Territory.
Originally from Liverpool, Melanie was a baker with a dream to live and work abroad.
She has lived in Darwin for the past 4 years and loves her life here.
As part of her journey from the UK to Australia, Melanie has worked in a range of occupations, making glamourous wedding cakes, construction work and even a stint working and living on an army base.
In Darwin, she returned to her foodie roots, joining Wharf One Food and Wine as a chef.
Passionate about food and travel, her favourite dishes to cook are zucchini fritters which are vegan and gluten free, and fresh tropical salads which feature on the Wharf One Food and Wine menu. She spends her free-time sailing in the harbour and beyond.
Her message for job seekers in the UK, is that the Northern Territory has plenty to offer.
