Finalists announced for the 2022 Study NT International Student Awards

Congratulations to the 2022 Study NT International Student Award finalists!

The Study NT International Student Awards acknowledges the contribution international students make to the Territory, as well as the local businesses that mentor and employ them.

The following international students excelled with their nominations and have been selected as finalists for the 2022 International Student of the Year Award (listed in alphabetical order):
 

  • Anna Belle Permenter from the United States of America, who is undertaking a Bachelor of Arts at Charles Darwin University
  • Ashish Ghimire from Nepal, who is studying a Bachelor of Business at Canterbury Institute of Management
  • Ema Kittova from Slovakia, who is undertaking a Master of Nursing at Charles Darwin University 
  • Emilia Dumigan from Argentina, who is undertaking an Advanced Diploma in Marketing and Communication at International House Darwin
  • Isha Rana from India, who is undertaking a Master of Teaching at Charles Darwin University
  • Rosie Nguyen from Vietnam is undertaking a Master of Information Technology at Charles Darwin University; and
  • Yuqing (Crystal) Zhao from China, who is undertaking a Master of Teaching at Charles Darwin University.

Rosie Nguyen and Yuqing (Crystal) Zhao were also selected as finalists in the International Student Volunteer of the Year Award, in recognition of their contribution of their volunteering efforts in the local community.

Congratulations also to the following employers selected as the finalists for the inaugural International Student Employer of the Year Award (listed in alphabetical order):
 

  • InterSystems Asia Pacific
  • Mindil Beach Casino Resort
  • SAMAF Accountants & Consultants
  • Unilodge Darwin
