Charles Darwin University
We are Australia's first dual-sector university, and we provide vocational education and training and higher education in the same institution. Students can move from the CDU International College or VET to higher education studies, to develop the skills to follow their career paths. The Good Universities Guide 2022 ranks CDU as the number one university in Australia for postgraduate full-time employment. Read more about CDU rankings on our website.
Our multi-campus, dual-sector status, virtual and online expertise, course profile, research activities, delivery methods, and operations are a consequence of our commitment to the regions in which we operate. The NT spans approximately one-sixth of Australia's landmass and yet is home to just one per cent of the population, of whom 30% are First Nations peoples.
We are a deeply connected university, working in partnership and collaboration with First Nations peoples, our communities and industries, government and alumni to address the needs of the NT and regional, rural and remote people nationally and globally.

According to the Research Excellence Rankings Analysis, our research is considered world-class, with 82% rated at world standard and above. We continue to stand out in areas such as tropical and desert knowledges, Indigenous knowledges, human health and well-being, tropical health, social and public policy, and environment and livelihoods.
Our students have access to a wide range of free services, including accommodation assistance, careers advice, study support and counselling. Dedicated staff will also help students develop their study plan and provide study support.
