Paper processing facility

The Northern Territory Government is seeking interest from suitably qualified parties (the proponent) to investigate and scope a proposal to develop and operate a paper processing facility in the Northern Territory.

This expression of interest process seeks to identify a proponent, with whom the Territory Government can partner to investigate and scope a proposal for a waste paper processing project which can form the basis of a funding application to the Australian Government for lodgement by 31 July 2020.

Proposals considered will need to be economically viable, address national pressures flowing from the ban on exports of waste paper, achieve value for money and maximise industry financial contributions.

Interested parties

Parties will need to demonstrate relevant experience and financial capability, and suitability of their project vision.

Proponents will required to provide a written response to the expression of interest, addressing the selection criteria, and deliver a 20 minute verbal presentation of the proposal.

Expressions of interest close at 10am ACST Tuesday 9 June 2020.
